He was predeceased by: his wife Ella "Tenia" Tongate; and his siblings, Nancy Gillett, Norma Shores and Larry McNeeley. He is survived by: his children, Kristina Bennett (Brett) of Kewanee, Selina Hartweg (Chad) of Kewanee and Brian Shores of Kewanee; his grandsons, Sheldon Hartweg, Clayton Hartweg (Chloe) and Levi Shores; and his great grandchild Carsyn. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
