Peggy Joyce Baker Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on April 17, 2026, at the age of 87, Peggy Joyce Baker of New Athens, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Wyman Prest and Irene Webster Prest; her husband William David Baker; and her brother Lyndon Prest. She is survived by: her children, Jeffrey Baker (Marlene) of Sparta, Gregory Baker (Janet) of Marissa and Diane Meyerhoff (Mark) of Sparta; her grandchildren, Matthew Rayoum (Danielle), Matthew Baker (Trish), Drew Ferguson, Christopher Baker (Jamie), Megan Meyerhoff and Justin Meyerhoff (Jordan); and her great grandchildren, Wyatt Baker, Elliot Baker, Rylee Klingeman, Jase Klingeman, Levi Baker, Walker Meyerhoff, Lexi Rayoum, Lucas Rayoum and Colbi Rayoum.

Memorials may be given to Pioneers, a mission organization in Orlando, Florida, that Peggy's granddaughter works with in Africa.
