With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Ellarine M. Santel of New Baden, Illinois, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Fauke and Katherine Fauke (Golsch); her husband Robert "Smitty" Santel; her stepfather Edward Strake; her son Edward Santel; her siblings-in-law, Alfred Santel (Janet), Aloys Santel, Ralph Koopman, Eugene Masterson and Delores Varel (Jerome); and her parents-in-law, Sarah Lineman and Clemens Santel.
She is survived by: her children, Sonja Jansen (Jeff) and Chris Santel; her daughter-in-law Kristie Santel; her brother Herman Fauke (Dolores); and her in-laws, Bernadine Koopmann, Diane Masterson and Esther Santel. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; and twenty-four great-grandchildren.
Memorials made in memory of Ellarine are suggested to the American Cancer Society and will be accepted at church or at Nordike Funeral Home, 15 East Hanover Street, New Baden, IL 62265.
