It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald G. Claypool of New Berlin, Illinois, who passed away on January 26, 2026, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Claypool and Helena Claypool (Cunningham); his son John Claypool; his brother Carl; his daughter-in-law Laura Claypool; his grandson Steven Thompson; and his great grandchild Angel Richards.
He is survived by: his wife Velma Wilson; and his children, Debbie Corbin (James), Peggy Thompson, Terry Claypool (Debbie), Scott Claypool and Rita Curry (Mike).
Memorial contributions can be made to the New Berlin Fire Department or the Athens Christian Church.
