Jacolyn R. Hermes Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jacolyn R. Hermes of New Berlin, Illinois, who passed away on October 6, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Jacolyn R. Hermes to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Phillips and Ruth Phillips (Dieckman); her husband Richard "Dick" Hermes; her son Richard "Rick" Hermes; and her brother Bill Phillips.
She is survived by: her children, Michelle Osborne (Paul) of Litchfield, IL, Patrick Hermes of New Berlin and John Hermes (Allinson) of Alexander, IL; her grandchildren, Steven, Caleb, Luke, Timothy, Samuel, Matthew, Ashlyn, Faith and Tyler; and her siblings, Jon R. Phillips of Jacksonville, IL, Patsy Covey (Donald) of Evansville, IL, Margaret Mathews (Donald) of Roodhouse, IL, Dixie Pennell (Keith) of Murrayville, IL. and Thomas C. Phillips (Dianna) of Murrayville, IL.. She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Butler Funeral Home – New Berlin (714 E Gibson St, New Berlin, IL 62670). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (404 E Birch St, New Berlin, IL 62670).
