She was predeceased by: her parents, John Wilson and Myrtle Wilson; her husband Donald Claypool; her son John; her brothers, Albert (Frances), Thomas (Diane), William (Marty), Donald (Marilyn) and Robert; her daughter-in-law Laura Claypool; her grandson Steven Thompson; and her great grandchild Angel Richards.
She is survived by: her children, Debbie Corbin (James), Peggy Thompson, Terry Claypool (Debbie), Scott Claypool and Rita Curry (Mike). She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mott & Henning Funeral Home (206 N Main St, Athens, IL 62613). A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions can be made to the New Berlin Fire Department or the Athens Christian Church.
