We are sad to announce that on May 30, 2025, at the age of 92, Anna L. Koefoed of New Lenox, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Smoot and Lula Smoot; her husband Donald J. Koefoed; her siblings, Ronald Smoot, Jessie Smoot (Sue), Richard Smoot (Cathy), Otis Smoot, Joyce Atkins (late Donald), Vicki Elkins (late Terry), Donald Smoot and Brenda Smoot; and her siblings-in-law, Marlene Tucker (late Wesley), Adrienne Colegrove (Kenneth) and Edwin Koefoed (Patricia).
She is survived by: her sons, Richard Koefoed (Sharon), Donald Koefoed (Susan) and Ronald Koefoed; her grandchildren, Roseann Morar (Dragos), Melissa Koefoed, Elyse Koefoed and Elaina Koefoed; her great grandchildren, Dahlia, Bradley, Lucia, June Morar and Gavin Zapata; and her siblings, Roger Smoot (late Marilyn), Linda Gilbert (late Jimmy) and Jean Blankenship (late Michael "Bud").
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Kurtz Memorial Chapel (102 East Francis Road, New Lenox, IL 60451). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 at the Elmhurst Cemetery (1212 E Washington St, Joliet, IL 60433).
