It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Challans of New Lenox, Illinois, who passed away on March 7, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Charles Challans to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his wife Mary; his parents, Ralph and Gladys; and his siblings, Trudy Norman-Basile, Bill, Earl and Ralph Challans.

He is survived by: his children, Kathy Stallkamp (Rick), Debra, Chuck (Deborah), Amanda and Amber Challans; and his sibling Aetna Challans. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

His contributions to his local community extended beyond his professional endeavors; he served as the Past Commissioner of the Homer Glen Fire Protection District, where he was greatly respected for his service.
