He was predeceased by: his parents, Jim "Neal" Minyard and Mary "Frances" Cohea; his wife Mona "Jean" Minyard; and his brothers, Marshall, Billy and Dan Minyard.

He is survived by: his daughters, Lisa Minyard and Linda Dormann; his grandchildren, Jada, Ben Powell, Tyler, Michelle Tribble, Jasmine Minyard, Chelsea and Jake Kuper; his great grandchildren, James, Jacob, Jack, Norah Jean Powell and Eleanor Kuper; and his siblings, Ouida "Ruth" (Joe Curtis) and Milton (Marge Minyard).
