He was predeceased by : his parents, Emil Avon and Marilou Avon (McHale); and his sisters-in-law, Moe and Patty. He is survived by : his wife Marianne Avon (Scully); his daughter Kerri; his son-in-law Ryan Carney; his grandsons, Jake and Max; and his brother Thomas Avon.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made as gifts in Mick's name to either the Alzheimer's Association or the American Cancer Society.
