The memory of Marilyn J. Kurtz of New Lenox, Illinois, who passed away on November 3, 2025 at the age of 80, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward M. Badovinac and Angeline B. Badovinac; her husband Karl J. Kurtz; her son Joey Kurtz; her grandson Jay Vana; her brother Edward Badovinac (late Nancy); and her nephew John Poper.
She is survived by: her child Thomas Vana (Michele); her grandchildren, Liam Kurtz, Matthew Vana (Morgan) and Amy Cunningham (Mitchell); her great grandchildren, Mason, Maverick, Myles Vana and Beau Cunningham; her sister Carole Fiorillo (late Nicholas); her sibling's children, Joanne Longmire (Steve), Cheryl Poper (Art Faje) and Jimmy Badovinac (Jan); and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Danny Longmire, Michael Longmire, Nicky Poper, Jake Badovinac (Madeline) and Jennie Storkov (Konstontin).
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 7th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Kurtz Memorial Chapel (102 East Francis Road, New Lenox, IL 60451). A prayer will be held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at 9:15 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Jude Catholic Church (241 W 2nd Ave, New Lenox, IL 60451). A burial will be held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at 11:45 AM at the Good Shepherd Catholic Cemetery (16201 104th Ave, Orland Park, IL 60467).
In lieu of flowers memorials in Marilyn's name to St. Jude Catholic Church, New Lenox, IL would be appreciated.
