It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Geraldine Twenhafel of New Minden, Illinois, who passed away on April 25, 2026, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Edwin Stiegman and Amanda Stiegman (Bielfeldt); her husband Kenneth Twenhafel; her sons, Brian Twenhafel and Todd Twenhafel; her siblings, Darlene Gerstkemper and Stanley Stiegman; her siblings-in-law, Willard Gerstkemper, Palma Stiegman, Roy Twenhafel and Maurine Twenhafel; her nephew David Stiegman; her niece Lori Stiegman; and her great-nephew Garrett Stiegman.
She is survived by: her daughters, Debra Twenhafel and Jean Micklevitz of Burlington, IL.; her grandchildren, Kirsten Twenhafel (Logan Cowell) and Trent Twenhafel; her daughter-in-law Cheryl Twenhafel of New Minden; her brother Edwin Stiegman (JR) of Nashville; her sister-in-law Carolyn Stiegman of Nashville; her pets, Marley, Josie, Byrdie and Bogey; her nieces and nephews, Amy Hafford (Bill), Tricia Popejoy (Darren), Sherry Wessel, Tab Stiegman (Jenni) and Jeff Gerstkemper; her godchildren, Brett Stiegman, Trace Stiegman (Lisa), Travis Stiegman (Heather) and Becky Koepf (Cohrs) of Michigan; and her great-nieces, Chelsey Kellerman (Will), Baylor, Lindsey Utech (Drake), Colby, Charlotte and Mandey Hafford (James Guiden).
In lieu of flowers or other gifts, expressions of sympathy in memory of Gerri are suggested to St. John's Historical Society, New Minden Community Club, or Residential Hospice and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home, who is assisting the family with arrangements.
