He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Kerner and Olena Kerner (Klundt); his wife Patsy Jo Flack; and his brothers, James, Eugene, Joseph and Vernon Kerner.
He is survived by: his siblings, Curtis Kerner (Kari), Verna Cernetisch and Janice Travnicek (Edith Meyer). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
