He was predeceased by: his parents, James Emmons and Lois Emmons (Jones); his wife Wendy; his stepmother Joan Emmons (Jopek); his brothers, Jimmy and Ronnie Emmons (Wendy Emmons); his daughter Jamie Fussell (Emmons); his nephew Reuben Lyons; and his great-niece Felicia Emmons.
He is survived by: his daughter Jennifer Emmons of Charleston; his son-in-law Micah Pridgen of Summerville; his grandchildren, Samantha Stropes of California, Curtis Fussell, Thomas J. Fussell of Illinois, Jessica Higgins, Sebastian Higgins and Johnny Seel of South Carolina; his great grandchildren, Damian and Declan; his siblings, Barbara Jeanne of Arizona, Mary Futia (Emmons) of Illinois and Terry Emmons of Illinois; his son-in-law Thomas D. Fussell of Illinois; his sisters-in-law, Donna Green (Saben) of Iowa and Ruth Emmons (Jaworski) of Illinois; and his nieces and nephews, Jackie Marinoff (Emmons), Rhonda Boys (Emmons), Christie Guy, Jimmy Emmons and Jeffrey Emmons. He is also survived by several other nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Peterson-Wallin-Knox Funeral Home - Alpha (111 S 1st St, Alpha, IL 61413). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
