He was predeceased by: his parents, William Ristau and Emma Nightingale Ristau; his spouse Shirley "Jean" McMullen; and his sisters, Lois Stewart and Marian Jones.

He is survived by: his daughters, Michele Jenkins (Duane) of Tebbetts, MO and Terri Wilson (Mark) of Rio; his grandsons, Jason Jenkins (Allison) of Tebbetts, MO, Shane Jenkins (Jennifer) of Tualatin, Oregon and Ian Wilson (Emera) of Marquette, MI; his great grandchildren, Aiden, Ashlyn, Paige, Carly and Alex; his granddaughter Nicole Jenkins of Holts Summit, MO; and his sister Phyllis Lundquist of Aledo. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be left to the Hopewell Cemetery; Holy Cross Lutheran Church; or OSF Hospice.
