She is survived by: her husband Gary Schmidt of Newton; her children, Nathan Schmidt (KC) of Newton and Caitlyn Schmidt of Newton; her mother-in-law Florence Schmidt of Newton; her stepbrother Franke Lamar of Robinson, Illinois; and her siblings-in-law, Connie Haynes (Devin) of Newton, Illinois, David Schmidt (Beth) of Effingham, Illinois, Ed Schmidt (Rosa) of Dieterich and Linda Schreacke (Brian) of Quincy, Illinois..
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 18th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Meyer Funeral Home - Newton (307 W Jourdan St, Newton, IL 62448). A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, December 19th 2025 at the Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery (807 E Jourdan St, Newton, IL 62448).
