He was predeceased by: his father Oral Kent; his stepfather Keith McCoy; and his parents-in-law, Jerome and Jeanne Stark. He is survived by: his mother Kathleen Lou Tevault (Harper) of Robinson; his wife Lori Tevault of Newton; his sister Kim Shotts (Mike) of Martinsville; his siblings-in-law, Tammy Mitchell (Steve) of Hopkinsville and Daniel Stark (Apryl) of Newton, Illinois.; and his sibling's children, Ross Shotts, Makenzie Mitchell (Spencer Douglas), Grant Stark and Cameron Stark.

In loving memory of Kurt, memorials may be made to Saint Thomas the Apostle Catholic School.
