We announce the death of Duane Edward Yager of Newton, Illinois, who passed away on October 5, 2026, at the age of 61. Duane will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Duane will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Duane’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was predeceased by: his father Edward John. He is survived by: his mother Carol Ann Yager (Nix) of Newton; his wife Lori Yager of Newton; his son Cody Yager (Keshia Midgett) of Newton; his granddaughters, Machelle and BraeLeigh; and his sister Debbie Zuber (John) of Newton. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Crain Funeral Home (304 S Van Buren St, Newton, IL 62448). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
