He was predeceased by: his parents, John Yager and Emma Yager (Bergbower). He is survived by: his wife Carol Ann Nix of Newton; his children, Duane Yager (Lori) of Newton and Debbie Zuber (John) of Newton, Illinois.; his grandchildren, Cody Yager of Newton, Illinois, Alisha Eubank (Logan) of Effingham and Miranda Cooper (Taylor) of Fairfield; his great grandchildren, Zoie Eubank, Bryleigh Eubank, Everley Eubank and Alivia Cooper; and his sister Janet Nix (Yager) of Olney.
A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church (404 W Jourdan St, Newton, IL 62448). A burial was held on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 at the New St. Peter Cemetery (14060 IL-33, Newton, IL 62448).
In loving memory of Edward, memorials may be made to the St. Thomas Catholic School.
