It is with sadness that the passing of Guy Thomas Wilson Sr. of Newton, Illinois is shared. Guy, born on October 16, 1939, passed away on September 18, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Greenup and Frona Ethel Wilson (Chapman); his wife Margaret L. Piercefield; and his siblings, Shirley Faye Wilson, Sidney Albert Wilson, Virginia Lundquist, Rosemary Dulgar, Billie J. Wilson, James F. Wilson, Iotis Kennedy and Dolly Kant.
He is survived by: his children, Tom Wilson, Jr. (Patty) of Newton, Dolly Hamilton (Jim) of Hunt City, Cathy Wilson (Kenneth Ochs) of Ste. Marie, Mendy Rubsam (Richard) of Newton, Kasey Wilson (Bryan Sempsrote) of Bogota, Nichole Reynolds (Travis) of Newton and Chipp Wilson of Oblong; and his grandchildren, Natashia Webb, Tommy Wilson, Kaleb Wilson, Nichole Reynolds, Chipp Wilson, Sammie Hundley, Kristopher Curtis, Taylor Tarpley, Irelynne Ochs, Gavin Ochs, Maekenna Ochs, Brock Rubsam, Reid Rubsam, Reagan Rubsam, Garrett Rubsam, Rylee Goad, Mylee Goad, Lennon Sempsrote, Bronx Sempsrote, Ashton Reynolds, Kodi Reynolds and Weston Reynolds. He is also survived by 25 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Crain Funeral Home (304 S Van Buren St, Newton, IL 62448). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial gifts in honor of Guy may be made to the Jasper County Cancer Support Fund.
