She was predeceased by : her parents, Donald Guerrettaz and Gertrude "Gertie" Guerrettaz (Dhom); her husband Maurice Thomas Brooks; her in-laws, Ruth, Glen Gorman, Kay White, Ralph, Roseann Brooks and Anita Brooks; and her granddaughter-in-law Buffy Brooks.
She is survived by : her children, Patti Ochs (Ronnie) of Newton, Tony Brooks (Geri) of Newton and Julie Bierman (Ed Shamhart) of Newton; and her grandchildren, Lindsey Hermann (Jason), Ryan Ochs, Marcus Brooks and Kelsey Taylor (Ryan). She is also survived by Several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In loving memory of Janet, memorials may be made to the Central Christian Church.
