He was predeceased by : his parents, Charles L. Kirts (Bud) and Connie S. Kirts (Culler); and his brother Jon. He is survived by : his wife Martha Buerster of Newton, Illinois; his children, Allison Kirts (Alli) of Newton, Illinois and Landon Kirts of Newton, Illinois; and his sister Nichole Hayes (Mike Jr.) of Bridgeport, Illinois.

Memorials may be made to the Kirts Family for the future education of his children.
