He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Colwell and Vernie Colwell (Kincaid); his wife Evelyn Marie Foster; and his siblings, James, Gerald, Larry, Charles Colwell, Stella Roux and Leatha Smallwood.
He is survived by: his children, Bradley Colwell (Dawn) of Wheeler, Myra Ely (John) of Wheeler and Teresa Dodson of California; and his sisters-in-law, Pam Foster and Beverly Laino. He is also survived by 11 Grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
