She was predeceased by : her parents, Wilmer Ochs and Betty Ochs (Piercefield); her sister Katherine Ochs; and her brother-in-law John Beal. She is survived by : her siblings, Marie Beal of Olney, Illinois, Stephen Ochs of Newton, Illinois and Sheila Short (Tom) of Lawrenceville, Illinois.. She is also survived by 4 Nephews, 2 Nieces, and many Great Nieces and Nephews.

In loving memory of Melvarose, memorials may be made to St. Thomas Catholic School.
