He is survived by: his parent Dee Johnson; his children, Cathy Jones of Newton, Steve Johnson (Shelly) of St. Joseph, MI and Cindy Johnson (Jess); his grandchildren, Nicole Jones of Las Vegas, NV, Billy Jones of Newton, Jessica Schulte (Kent) of St. Joseph, MI, Ross Johnson of Ft. Wayne, IN, Aaron Johnson (Catlyn) of St. Jacobs, IL and Dani Johnson of O'Fallon, IL; his great grandchildren, Tessa Jones, Taylor Schulte, Owen Schulte, Eli Schulte and Hallie Cate Johnson; and his siblings, Ruth Hutchinson of Colorado Springs, CO, Delain Johnson of Urbana, IL, Zana Tarr (Kendall) of Newton and Cheryl Dunn of Myrtle Beach, SC. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Crain Funeral Home (304 S Van Buren St, Newton, IL 62448). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
