We are sad to announce that on March 20, 2026, at the age of 90, Ruth (Koebele) Jansen of Newton, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Koebele and Clara Koebele (Cohorst); her husband Richard George Jansen; her nephews, Richard Leo "Rick" Jansen and Daniel Gene "Dan" Jansen; her grandsons, Chad Swingler, Mitchell Swingler and Joseph Deters; her siblings, Geraldine Althoff, Delores Bierman, George Koebele and Clete Koebele; and her brother-in-law Franco Grasselli.
She is survived by: her children, Connie Holkenbrink (Steve) of Teutopolis, Illinois, Cindy Deters (Gene) of Teutopolis, Illinois, Sue Swingler (Tom) of Montrose, Illinois, Dave Jansen (Pam) of Newton, Illinois, Mike Jansen (Amanda) of Mahomet, Illinois and Amy Weisser (Andrew) of Watsonville; her daughter-in-law Ronda Jansen of Dieterich; and her siblings-in-law, Marilyn Koebele of Island Grove and Bob Althoff of Effingham.
