She was predeceased by : her parents, Edward Schackmann and Mary Schackmann (Miller); her husband Joseph Bernard Bruemmer; her daughter Connie Bruemmer; and her siblings, Clarence Schackmann, Ralph Schackmann, Herman Schackmann, Joseph Schackmann, Charlene "Sis" Gribben, Paul Schackmann, Margaret Hollis, Rita Rasmussen, Frank Schackmann and Donald Schackmann.

She is survived by : her daughter Elaine Michl of Newton, Illinois; her granddaughters, Leeann Hahn (Corey) of Indianapolis, Indiana, Jackie Angel (Austin) of Indianapolis and Jamie Michl (Brandon Martin) of Ashland; and her great grandchildren, Grant Hahn and Blakely Martin.

In loving memory of Therese, memorials may be made to Saint Thomas School.
