He was predeceased by : his parents, Homer Elmore and Mamie Elmore (Clagg); his wife Evelyn Brown Staley Gowin; his son Harry Dale "Buddy" Gowin; his siblings, Ilene "Sis" Osborn Hake Corso, Kathleen Elmore, Marvin, Alvin, Merle, Dean and Roscoe Elmore; and his siblings-in-law, Arley Osborn, Tom Hake, Dominic Corso, Dorothy Elmore, Charlene Elmore, Norma Jean Elmore, Edith Elmore, Betty Elmore and Rosemary Elmore.
He is survived by : his daughter Doris Cochran (Don) of Latona; his granddaughters, Kimberly Cochran of Cerro Gordo, Illinois, Crystal Hembree (Will) of Neosho, Missouri and Dana McQuillen (Nate) of Effingham, Illinois.; his siblings, Beverly Flinn (Paul) of Milton, Loren Elmore of Johnsonville, Illinois and Sheldon Elmore of Mason; and his siblings-in-law, Dean Brown (Shirley) of Clay City and Claire Elmore of Latona. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
