He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther R. Oakley and Cora Jennie Oakley (Myers); his wife Betty Harris; his sisters, Louise Nichols, Reba Griffith and Shirley Jean Oakley; his niece Betty Gish; and his nephew Steve Griffith.
He is survived by: his sons, David (Jonathan Wimer) of Mayetta, KS, Paul of Waynesboro, VA, Dan (Beth Oakley) of Lakewood, CO and Tom (Valerie Hockgraver) of Drayden, MD; his great-niece Dee Goodwin; and his aunt Joyce Rinkel (Ted). He is also survived by six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, five nieces and nephews.
