She was predeceased by: her spouse Salim Cato; her parents, Jose Cortez and Carmen Cortez; and her brothers, Jose Cortez (late Celina) and Luis Cortez.
She is survived by: her children, Laura Del Real (Daniel), Salim Jr. Cato (Lisa) and Jose Cato (Rosie); her adoptive daughter Margarita Valencia; her grandchildren, Alex, Danny, Gabi, Jessica, Beto, Salim, Ricky, Italia, Jasmine, Sebastian, Iliana and Bianca; her great grandchildren, Caleb, Liannah, Zoey and Michael; and her brothers, Miguel Angel Cortez (Bertha) and Francisco Cortez (late Blanca).
