He is survived by: his wife Georgia Houpis; his children, Evan Houpis (Candace Alexia), Vasya Platanitis (George) and George Houpis (Georgia); his siblings, Maria Georgas (late Demosthenes) and Nickolas Houpis (Matoula); and his grandchildren, Katerina, Georgia, Dino, Emilia, Stavroula, Maria and Demetra.
Visitation was held on Friday, August 21st 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church (7373 N Caldwell Ave, Niles, IL 60714). A funeral service was held on Friday, August 21st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
