She was predeceased by: her husband Louis H. Schaefer; her brother Gary Nelson (Karen); her parents, Arthur W. Nelson and LaVerne R. Nelson; and her sister-in-law Evelyn Schmitz (late John).
She is survived by: her daughters, Victoria Pingul (Eric) and Kristina Schaefer; her granddaughters, Brianna and Emma; and her siblings, Linda McKillop (Tom), Darlene Nelson and Donald Nelson (Pat).
Visitation was held on Friday, May 30th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Nelson Funeral Home (820 W Talcott Rd, Park Ridge, IL 60068). A prayer was held on Friday, May 30th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
