He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Mary Margaret; his children, Mary Ellen, Kathleen Gorkis (Frank), Eileen McMahon (Pat), Margaret Heflin (Chris), Jim (Becky), Rosalie Heneghan (Peter), Joan Lewis (Jeff), Liz Lawlor (Patrick) and Tricia McCann (Michael); his grandchildren, Brendan, Ian (Bianca), Ryan Gorkis, John (Hayley), Liz, Kevin McMahon (Brooke), Maeve, Molly, Jack Heflin, Sean, Matt Johnston (Amanda), Maura, Fiona, Julia Heneghan, Owen, Aidan, Shea Lewis, Grace, Declan, Nora Lawlor, Megan, Clare and Michael McCann; his great grandchildren, Teagan, Christian and Caleb McMahon; and his siblings, Owen, Joan Casey, Mary Oates, Joe, Eugene, Sr., Mary Ellen, Edward, John, Michael, Vincent, Sr., Marie Eugene, Kathleen Imrie, Eileen Browne and Agnes Johnson.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 22nd 2026 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Colonial-Wojciechowski Funeral Home of Niles (8025 W Golf Rd, Niles, IL 60714). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, May 23rd 2026 from 9:45 AM to 10:00 AM and at 10:00 AM at the St. Mary of the Woods Church (6955 N Hiawatha Ave, Chicago, IL 60646).
