Jan Chowaniec Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jan Chowaniec (Niles, Illinois), who passed away on July 10, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Jan may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Jan touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Danuta Chowaniec; his children, Robert Chowaniec (Dorota) and Agnieszka Zalewski (Mark); his grandchildren, Kristiana, Brian, Annie, Vanessa, Nicole and Radek; and his great grandchildren, Leo and Mario.
A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, July 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Saint John Brebeuf Parish (8305 N Harlem Ave, Niles, IL 60714).
