He is survived by: his wife Joy Oluwatomi Akintunde; his children, Olusola, Mobolaji and Ololade Mitchell; and his grandchildren, Folasade Snowden-Akintunde, Gbemisola Mireya Nieves-Akintunde, Elisha Olakorede Mitchell, Maliah Grace Temitope Mitchell, Kareem Ayomide Akintunde and Dima Temidayo Akintunde.
