He is survived by: his wife Kwi Sun Burgess; his daughter Melissa Burgess; his son-in-law Joseph Rodriguez; his grandson Anthony Rodriguez; his sister Debra Burgess; his siblings-in-law, Moon Kyu Lee, Shin Ae Lee and Shin Hi Kim; and his sibling's children, Jason Burgess, Scott Burgess, Jong B Lee, Jong M Lee, Kyung Kim, Julia Kim and Natalie Kim.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Benedict (6930 W Touhy Ave, Niles, IL 60714). The inurnment will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Fort Sheridan National Cemetery.
