She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold and Mary B. Laughlin (Schulte); her brother Michael Laughlin; and her grandson Linus Boyles. She is survived by: her husband Roger Hogan of Niota, Illinois; her daughters, Katie Boyles (James) of Fort Madison and Jessica Gnann (Max) of Niota, Illinois; her grandchildren, Anastasia, Claudia, Maria, Ambrose, Victoria, Edith and Fulton Boyles; her siblings, Cindy Leffler (Earl) of Fort Madison, Iowa and Larry Laughlin (Kathleen) of Evans, Georgia; her niece Michelle Leffler of Fort Madison, Iowa; and her siblings-in-law, Robert Hogan (Nikki) of Donnellson, Jake Hogan (Sandy) of Niota, Karen Simpson of Fort Madison, Nancy Todd (Craig) of Dallas City, Julie Holmes (Larry) of Montrose and Denise Allen (Bryan) of Niota. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for Birthright of Keokuk and HTC Taps, contributions may be left at the Barr Memorial Chapel or at the church during services.
