He is survived by: his wife Rita Scherer (Diel) of Noble; his children, Peggy Sue Swanson (Jason) of Noble, Lea Ann Jones (Justin) of Noble and Adam Scherer (Carly Speakman) of Greenup; his grandchildren, Ally Jones, Addisyn Scherer, Karson Scherer, Graycelyn Swanson, Kaden Scherer, James Swanson and Jaytin Jones; and his brother Mike Scherer.
