She was predeceased by: her parents, Emory McClain and Mary McClain (Shelton); her husband Louis W. Hayes; her brother John McClain; and her siblings-in-law, Margaret McClain and Leroy Carroll.
She is survived by: her children, Brian Hayes (Kim) of Nokomis, IL and Valerie Finks (Tom) of Taylorville, IL; her grandchildren, Crystal Dowdy (Kevin), Holly Cotton (Paul), Katie Sleboda, Makenzie Finks, Chase Finks, Makala Finks and Caydon Finks; her great grandchildren, Aliczander Sleboda, Elias Sleboda, Jaelyn Sleboda, Selah Dowdy, Hezekiah Dowdy, Hadessah Cotton, Jace Cotton and Radner Piers; and her sister Mary Ann Carroll of Wenonah, IL. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorials in her honor may be made to Coalton Baptist Church for the Shoebox Ministry.
