Lavena Reese Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Lavena Reese (Nokomis, Illinois), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 8, 2025 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Bowrey and Jessie Bowrey (Warner); her son Ed Reese; and her brother Edward Bowrey. She is survived by: her husband James Reese; her daughter Lynette Hickson (Tom); her grandchildren, Tony Castellanos (Sarah), Ashley Reese (Damen), Chelsey Morrison and Brayden Hickson; her great grandchildren, Liam, Layne, Roland and Ripley; her siblings, Rick Bowrey (Kathy) and Paula Engelhart; and her caregiver Nichole Nurdin. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Gift of Hope Organ and Tissue.
