Rayla Forston Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Rayla Forston (Nokomis, Illinois), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 2, 2025 at the age of 65. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her father George R Forston; her son Japeth Suslee; her brother Martin Forston; and her stepfather Robert Hazdra. She is survived by: her mother Beverly J Forston (Patton); her daughter-in-law Sarah McNeely (Danny) of Taylorville; her granddaughters, Fiona, Thea Suslee and Delilah McNeely; her siblings, Lenya Richardson (Dale), Deborah Schneider (Butch) of Waterloo, IL, Mark Hazdra of Nokomis and Mike Hazdra of Taylorville; and her siblings' children, Sarah Jo Jackson (Daniel) and Chase Richardson (Autumn).

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Stiehl-Dawson Funeral Home- Nokomis (200 E State St, Nokomis, IL 62075). A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Witt Christian Church.
