He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Lyle, Mary Ruth Ricketts and John Reis II; and his siblings, John B. Reis IV and Elizabeth GuoDan Reis.
He is survived by: his parents, John B. Reis and Jan Ellen Ricketts Reis; his children, Jackson and Charlie Reis; his parents-in-law, Jennifer Butler (Reid) of LeRoy and Michael Smith (Camellia) of Sarasota, FL; his grandmother Rosie Reis of Fairbury; and his siblings, Andrew Reis (Lori) of Fairbury, Alexander Reis (Alexandria) of Fairbury, Anna Reis of Fairbury and Katie Wells (Ethan) of Fairbury.
A rosary was held on Friday, August 21st 2026 at 3:15 PM at the Duffy-Pils Memorial (100 W Maple St, Fairbury, IL 61739). Visitation was held on Friday, August 21st 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, August 22nd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Andrew Catholic Church (110 E Ash St, Fairbury, IL 61739).
Memorials may be made to SELCAS or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
