We announce the death of Beatrice M. Olson of Normal, Illinois, who passed away on October 2, 2026, at the age of 102. She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer T. Claggett and Hazel I. Sinniger Claggett; her husband Ernest E. Olson; her siblings, George, William Claggett and Catherine "Jean" Peden; her son Mark Wesley Olson; and her grandchildren, Paul Dela Cruz and Kathryn Newell.
She is survived by: her children, Allen Olson of Chicago, Scott Olson (Irma) of Oak Park and Jill Newell (John) of Palm Springs, CA.. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church (2502 E College Ave, Bloomington, IL 61704). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be directed to First Baptist Church or Home Sweet Home Ministries.
