He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Earl Kirkwood and Rosemary Kirkwood (Hoeniges); his wife Gail Kirkwood of Normal; his children, Connor Kirkwood of St. Louis, MO and Kristen Kirkwood; and his siblings, Cheryl Mulcahey (Mike) of Bloomington, Karen Whalen (Tom) of Bloomington, Colleen Lloyd of Bloomington, Kevin Kirkwood and Jocelyn Anderson. He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, August 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery (527 W Jackson St, Bloomington, IL 61701).
