With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Donald Wasson of Normal, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 13, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though Donald may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Donald touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ottis Wasson and Geneva Wasson (Gribble).

“For over 27 years we chatted and talked about many things.. How you cherished your family.:loving your St.Louis Cardinals even embracing the Cubs.. I looked as you wind down time to catch an old tv program (The Bonanza,, The Virginia and old detective and Mystery Shows. The greatest of all the memories was last year:When we talked about life in itself. When you said when the man upstairs called you. You are Ready . In memory of Donald Wasson.
