It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hildegard Watson of Normal, Illinois, who passed away on February 4, 2026, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Gustav Schwesinger and Frieda Schwesinger (Och); her son Glenn Lee Watson (Laura Burke); and her siblings, Reinhold, Helmut, Maria, Herta, Betty and Fried Hilde.

She is survived by: her sons, Stuart Watson of Bloomington and David Watson (Kia) of Troy; her daughter-in-law Brenda Watson of Bloomington; her grandchildren, Thomas Watson of Bloomington, Rececca Watson of Bloomington, Kayla Watson of Bloomington and Lewis Watson of Troy; and her friends, Grant, Jamie, Hudson and Sylvia Rucker of Normal, Illinois..

Memorials can be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation-Gateway Chapter in honor of Hildegard's grandson, Lewis Watson.
