Howard R. Smith Obituary
We are sad to announce that on September 21, 2025, at the age of 83, Howard R. Smith of Normal, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Howard shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Howard farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Smith and Esther Smith; and his son Jason (Jewel-Osco). He is survived by: his son Jeff Smith (Tracy) of Monticello, Indiana; and his brothers, Ralph Smith Armstrong of Osage Beach, Jim Smith of Galesburg and Walter Smith of Galesburg. He is also survived by four grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
A graveside service was held on Monday, September 29th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Brooks Grove Cemetery (8251 County Rd 150 E, Stanford, IL 61774).
