He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard George and Mildred Jeanette Lutz (McCord); his brother Eugene "Gene" Lutz; and his sister-in-law Rose Mary Lutz. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Marie Heilman of John's Lutheran Church; his children, Kathy Plasencio (Rudy) of Las Cruces, Kristi Copeland of Austin, Texas and Joel Lutz (Emperatriz) of Lemon Grove, California; his grandchildren, Jeffrey Mayer (Sara) of Bloomington, Jacqueline "Jackie" Rauly of Andernos-Les and France (Jed Howard Lutz); his great grandchildren, Emma Mayer, Jenna Rauly and Deiva Rauly; his brother Robert Lutz of Pekin; and his sister-in-law Sandy Lutz of Pekin. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
