He is survived by: his wife Dena Freidinger; his brother Jack; his parents-in-law, Duane and Vermeda Freidinger; his siblings-in-law, Zina Young (Trish Guinee), Jodie Sauder (Jeff), Tracy Heffren (Thad), Troy Young (Dona), Darren Freidinger (Jane), Kurt Freidinger (Kristin) and Morton; and his pet Cupcake. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Community Players Theatre or Illinois State University Foundation.
