She was predeceased by: her parents, William Janz and Frances Janz; and her sister Janet Balka. She is survived by: her husband Paul F. Oates; her children, Mike Oates (Becky) of Camdenton, MO, Patty Burton (John), Bill Oates, Dwight and Steve Oates (Meg); her sister Marge Weaver; her grandchildren, Jay Riddle, Dustin Riddle (Melissa), Amanda Burton (Luke Gates), Niki Burton (Evan Horn), Bobby Oates and Kate Oates; and her great grandchildren, Zack Riddle, Sky Riddle, Owen Riddle and Bodi Riddle.
Visitation was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Epiphany Catholic Church (1000 E College Ave, Normal, IL 61761). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association (http://www.alz.org) or Bishop Noll High School, Hammond, Indiana (http://www.bishopnoll.org).
